You can join us for a free lesson to find out which of our programs is for you. We offer Sitting Strong Mobile group class, Get Fit with Ty via zoom, or one on one personal training.  No strings attached. All programs are total body workouts. Got “Gut health” concerns? no worries here. We have CIY (cook it yourself) health conscience easy recipes.  Or have your meals prepared by my certified nutristionist Rashidah.

My Story.
My Passion.

Hello world! I am coach Ty, a single mother of a beautiful princess. During the day, I work as a Human Resource Manager over a couple of Automotive dealerships. I love my career but, my passion is Fitness and helping prolong lives. Majority of my life, I have always been in some type of athletics. Whether it was Cheerleading, Track, Drill Team, and even basketball for a quick second.

Since graduating from high school in 2000, I have continued to stay active and in shape. My passion for fitness is like no other. Over the years I have taken many Zumba classes, Spin, Kickboxing, you name it I have done it.

When I first got my ISSA certification, I created a four-part booty growth series via Instagram. I sold three of the plans, so I was off to a great start, but I needed experience.

My first trainer job was not what I was expecting. I was hired at a gym, but as a group instructor for his Stretch and Burn class on Thursdays and HIIT on Saturdays. I would instruct the clients who came to the gym as well as those on the Zoom, due to Covid. My boss assured me that I would get to train one-on-one once I grew my clientele. I needed and wanted the experience, so I took the job. I was so nervous about my first class but kicked butt and ended up loving teaching group classes. I even brought in two of my own clients. After working for him for a short while, I had to decide to leave due to conflict with my pay. I was devastated! I had just made this gym a home. Now where was I going to train my two clients. After some thought, I decided to hold my own Zoom classes.

Fit with Ty

This is when my own program was born: Fit with Ty.

I started my zoom class with my two clients in my sister’s garage, with just a mat, 5-pound dumbbells, a laptop, and a speaker. After a little while the class started to become popular, and I gained more clients.

I love the high intensity workout, but something was still missing. Not everyone is not advanced enough for Fit with Ty, others want a slower paced class. Then I thought about the people who cannot move as fast, the beginners, the obese, and even the handicapped and elderly. They need exercise just like everyone else.

That is when I developed and launched Sitting Strong (not your granny’s average chair class). Just like Fit with Ty, Sitting Strong is a total body workout as well.

Soon, I will be launching Step it Up. A Mid-level calorie crusher step class. Stay tuned world!

For those clients who prefer a more one-on-one workout, I offer mobile personal training. At the client’s location of choice, I assist them with a workout that I design for their body type and goals.

Sport & Nutrition

Taking control of your health does not just include regular exercise. It’s also about gut health and nutrition. At TyFit, you have access to a certified nutritionist. Together, we can put together a plan that works for YOU, in YOUR situation, to meet YOUR goals.

Certified Trainer

In 2017, I really got serious about making some changes to my body. Never having worked with a trainer before, I started doing just that. Lifted and rounded out the glutes. Defined the abs and legs. And I got rid of the back fat. At that point I decided to take my passion to the next level: I started studying to become a certified personal trainer. I received my certification through ISSA.

Online and on Demand

You can become lean and fit from the comfort of your home. Classes take place online via Zoom and you will have access to the recordings for a week. That way, you will never miss a class or can repeat a class when you feel like it and if it is sensible in your situation.

Featured Programs

My two signature programs to date are Fit with Ty and Sitting Strong by TyFit. Both were developed by myself and they form the foundation for not only getting rid of unwanted pounds, but also to form new habits. Especially when combining them with a personalized meal plan.

Because at TyFit you also get access to a trained nutritionist, who will help you identify the enemies in your pantry.

Fit with Ty

Total body class consisting of Calisthenics, Zumba style cardio dance, Step Aerobics, and Circuit Training. All the equipment you need is light weight dumbbells, a stepper, Booty band, and a mat.

 

Personal Training

For those clients who prefer a more one-on-one workout, I offer mobile personal training. At your location of choice, I will assist you with a workout program that is specifically designed for your body type and goals.

Sitting Strong

Just like HIIT, Sitting Strong is also a total body workout. Each class is one hour.  There are 3 circuits, 10 exercises in each circuit, which we do for 40 sec a piece with 20 sec rest and prepare for the next exercise.  All the equipment you need is a chair, and 5-pound dumbbells.  Please be advised, we are not just sitting in the chair the entire time. Half of the circuits we are, still working our entire body. The other half, we are standing but still using the chair during the exercise.

Fit with Ty takes place twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays 8 PM to 8:55 PM CST. 

Sitting Strong Group Mobile is two saturdays a month at 1 pm CST.

How can I pay?

All payments must be made in full the day before class or a session. Payments can be made via:

What equipment will I need?

A mat or a beach towel. 5 to 8-pound dumbbells, a chair, a stepper, booty band, and water to keep you hydrated.

Where are classes held?
Classes are held and streamed via Zoom. I recommend you take part from your garage or living room.
What If I have some complications with my knees and back?
I always show you a modified way to execute the exercise and technique without putting stress or strain on the injured areas.
Are the classes only for women?
Absolutely not. I welcome males to join. It is a mental challenge for everyone.
What if I do not want to be seen or heard via zoom?
You may turn your camera off. However, I will not be able to see you and therefore won’t be able to monitor your form. I turn off all attendees’ sound so there are no distractions for others.
